Young Professionals Collaboration Programme – Energy Sector
“Harnessing the energy within the Energy sector”
An immersive experience utilizing structured collaboration techniques for B2B collaboration, building cross-sector collaborative business relationships for the future, and developing the skills, attitude and mindset needed to create mutual value and sustainable performance, with different partners in the Energy sector
Why This Programme?
The energy sector faces a variety of challenges, from achieving net-zero emissions to adapting to alternative energy sources and navigating a shifting social and political landscape. Collaboration between companies, communities and government departments is seen as the sustainable response to addressing the sector’s complex challenges, combining insights from diverse fields such as engineering, policy, finance, economics and social sciences. This necessitates a shift in mindset and skills among those involved in energy production, especially as the sector grapples with wicked issues like climate change, energy transition, and equity, alongside the commercial and operational challenges.
Why Young Professionals?
The energy sector, while supportive of collaboration, often defaults to the win/lose approach of competition, and those steeped in that culture revert to what they know best and excel at. To achieve the “collaboration shift” required, we focus on the next generation of leaders, not yet fully influenced by win/lose competitive cultures, to help them embed collaboration into their normal daily operations in order for the sector to survive and thrive. By focusing on Young Professionals we can build long-term, cross-company connections that can drive sustained collaboration and industry-wide improvements. We help Young Professionals bring their fresh perspectives and energy, and integrate it with the wisdom and experience of senior leaders, representing the broader sector, so that they understand existing corporate cultures while facilitating collaboration. This approach ensures a dynamic, respectful evolution towards greater sector wide collaboration.
